Good to know
Do I need a deposit? What's the refund policy?
A 20% deposit books your stay. Get a refund within 7 days of paying, as long as check-in is 30+ days out; no refunds inside 30 days. Day Passes: non-refundable, reschedulable 48 hours ahead.
Is airport transportation included?
Depends on what you book. Surf, wellness, and adventure packages include it. Accommodation-only stays and Day Passes don't, but transfer is available as a paid add-on.
Day Pass vs. staying overnight, what's the difference?
A Day Pass gets you a day at NAWI: beach, pool, wellness activities, and more. Staying overnight means fully disconnecting and immersing yourself in Mizata, waking up in the jungle.
Can I host a retreat or group event at Mizata?
Yes. Mizata Retreats handles the venue and logistics end-to-end for both experienced facilitators and first-time hosts.
When is the best time of year to visit / surf?
El Salvador has two seasons: rainy (May–Oct) and dry (Nov–Apr). Rainy season is warm and green, with the best swells for experienced surfers, plus ideal weather for wellness rituals and day trips to nearby towns and cultural sites. Dry season is sunny and low-humidity, perfect for beach days and outdoor adventure, with coastal breezes keeping things comfortable.
Is there an age policy for guests?
Mizata is an adults-focused retreat. Guests 14 and under aren't permitted; ages 15–18 are welcome with a responsible adult, though some adults-only areas (like the infinity pool) stay restricted.
Are pets allowed?
Small breed pets are welcome for a $20/stay fee, leashed in designated areas — not permitted in the restaurant, bar, pool, or Tree Houses.
