June was a month of connection, collaboration, and community. We were honored to welcome visitors who share our passion for creating meaningful impact in Mizata and to continue expanding opportunities for the children and families we serve.
Last month, one visit in particular reminded us of the power of bringing people together around a shared purpose.
Luna Serenity Visits the Mizata Foundation
One of the highlights of June was welcoming the wonderful team from Luna Serenity to Mizata. Their visit was an opportunity to experience our community firsthand, meet the children and families we work with, and learn more about the mission and vision of the Mizata Foundation.
During their time with us, the Luna Serenity team visited our English Academy, connected with local students, and gained a deeper understanding of the programs that are creating lasting opportunities for children in our community. Seeing our students confidently practicing their English, sharing their stories, and engaging in creative learning activities was a meaningful reminder of how far our program has come.
Visits like these are so much more than a tour—they are an opportunity to build relationships, exchange ideas, and inspire future collaborations that strengthen our work. We are grateful to the Luna Serenity team for taking the time to learn about our community and for their genuine interest in supporting educational opportunities in Mizata.
We believe that lasting change happens through partnership, and we are excited about the possibilities that can grow from connections like these.
Continuing to Grow
Our English Academy continues to thrive, with more than 65 students attending classes each week. The excitement and enthusiasm in the classroom continue to grow as our students develop new language skills, build confidence, and discover a love for learning.
As our program expands, so does our dream of creating a Community Learning Center, a dedicated after-school space where children can access English classes, art, music, tutoring, and other enriching activities in a safe and inspiring environment.
With enrollment continuing to increase, we are actively searching for a larger space that will allow us to continue growing and serving even more children in Mizata.
