Small Actions, Big Change: Kicking Off the Year with Impact
March 11, 2025

January was an exciting and meaningful start to the year for Mizata Foundation, filled with collaboration, impact, and growth.

We were proud to help fundraise toward the spaying and neutering clinic at Impawssible Village. Thanks to the incredible support from our community, over 3,000 has already been raised—bringing this vital project within reach, with just 2,000 left to go. This clinic will play a crucial role in improving animal welfare and reducing the stray population.

January also brought national attention to Mizata, as a TV crew visited to feature puppy yoga at Antiresort. The event was hosted by our amazing friends from NAF, led by Alex and Diana. This marked NAF’s second visit to Mizata, and we were overjoyed to welcome them back and continue strengthening this meaningful partnership.

The month was also special for the new friendships it brought. Among them was Ivan, who visited AntiResort and made a generous donation toward our community toilet project. This support helps improve sanitation, protect local waterways, and keep our communities healthier.

We were also thrilled to welcome Bessy Martinez to the Mizata Foundation team. With more than 10 years of experience working with local communities, Bessy is already proving to be a huge asset. With her support, we will begin installing toilets in February at two different soccer fields, helping reduce contamination risks and protect the nearby river while supporting cleaner, safer community spaces. As we move forward into the year, we’re deeply grateful for the momentum, partnerships, and shared commitment that are making these projects possible.
